The Eagles. I’m really not a football freak. I don’t watch it as often as a real fan should but for the past 4 years now it’s come down to this game. The whole season is on the wire and the Eagles are a game away from the superbowl – the game of games. Dammit I’d give anything to see them get there. I’ve been waiting for that as long as I can remember. Maybe it’s just some sort of unfinished business that I feel has been lingering my whole life, ever since I would watch football with my Dad and my brother in my youth. Unlike the past three years though this time I feel this team is strong enough. Yesterday when they beat the Vikings they played like a real team. They just about controlled the whole game and used alot of different players, not just an all star to win it. They did it together and they actually made it look easy. No 3rd and long play, no last minute field goal or overtime – they stayed on top and kept the upperhand. Confidence. Yes, I believe it’s confidence and teamwork that will set this year apart from the rest. Come Sunday, it’s on.
