The Cold, Silent Type

I was feeling sort of down and out on Sunday morning – waking up to the Blizzard of 2006. I went for a walk and took some pictures of South Jersey covered in this winter beauty. I started thinking of snow as life itself – enjoy it and take it in while you can, because before you know it, it will be gone.

(It actually lit up to 8 MPH when I was walking by, but before I could snap the pic)

Beautiful. I love the picture of the lake with the trees around it. :-)

I love watching the snow fall.  The angled line pattern of flakes shooting down to the ground or the chaos of everythig blowing around.  It’s amazing how it also makes everything look so pure and serene if just for a few hours…

How lovely.

Wow, you were walking 8 MPH? That’s pretty fast. I guess you have to walk that fast when it’s that cold. I think it’s beautiful to look at. I don’t know how I would handle it if I lived there. I’m freezing now at 65 degrees

The pictures are gorgeous though! Thank you for posting them.

My two favorite: The park with the swings and the lake.

These pictures are gorgeous. I like the preface you gave too. It’s been forever since I’ve seen snow, but I remember how quickly it goes. So many things don’t last long enough on this earth.
