So anybody who knows me, really knows me…knows that I’m gonna be freaking out this week. Q: The reason being? A: A new Indiana Jones movie.
Let’s see..the last time an Indiana Jones movie came out I was 11 years old – back in 1989. As a kid and young teenager I craved those movies. I watched them over and over countless times, memorized stupid quotes and always fantasized about going off on an adventure like the ones Indiana Jones took. The action, the music, the visuals…it took me to a world like no other…and now it’s back.
So here I am, 30 years young and awaiting the 4th “episode” of the Indiana Jones films. Things have changed a bit since 1989. Nowadays I can deck out my computer and myspace pages with Indiana Jones wallpapers. I can download the trailers on my computer or my xbox and watch them in high definition. I can download the whole album in mp3 format and start listening to it before the movie arrives. I can read reviews & plot lines on the internet, but I’m not one for spoilers.
Now the only decision left to make – do I go to the midnite viewing on Wednesday night or do I act like a 30 year old and go on Thursday after work?
I’m opting for the Wendesday night midnite screening and I think my 11 year old self would definitely agree.
Indy geeks unite!!! Anyone out there as excited about this movie as me? I can’t wait…
I’m not to the point of personalizing all my electronics with Indi skins but I’m pretty excited! I’m trying to figure out when we’ll be able to squeeze it in because my boyfriend has me booked with his family thru the 23rd. I’d go to the midnite show but then my boyfriend would feel betrayed that I would see it without him. *sigh* Why does everything boil down to the age old “committed relationship/harrison ford debate”?
Temple of Doom was always my personal favorite!!! I got it on vhs YEARS ago when McDonalds sold tapes with a purchase of any meal, haha!! You aren’t the only nut, Ive been freaking out and counting down, watching the trilogy. Last night there was a show on Sci-Fi about the legend of the crystal skulls. It was crazy!! Apparently, there are many crystal skulls out there and the legend states that they must be brought together so their powers will stop the world from ending on December 21, 2012. I remember reading your blog about the annoyance of seeing movies on opening night. Annoyance or not I think Indy and your 11 year old self would concur, the midnite show is a MUST! You’ll probably be too stoked to notice that bastard chomping on his popcorn and slurping his drink!
we are watching an INDY movie , day . We have to wait to see it, til thurs.
The MEXICO CITY airport scenes were filmed 10 miles from me.
It was cool to drive by and see the buildings repainted and the crews set up.

Oh and I hate that you have Captchas on your blogs.
I think John might be down for seeing it in theaters, as long as I make sure there’s no Indy prostate exam scene. It’d ruin it for him if that were the case…
