What if we had feedback scores attached to our lives?

I was just using ebay and looking over my feedback score. If you aren’t familiar with what ebay’s feedback scores are…well it is a rating system every ebay user has. For every transaction made, whether you are the buyer or seller, you leave feedback for the person you dealt with for that transaction. You can leave a positive, a neutral or a negative feedback score for the person, depending on how they dealt with either sending you the payment, communicating the details and/or sending you the merchandise. I have done about 23 ebay transactions and I have positive feedback through all of them. It kind of made me feel like a goody two shoes or something.

I was thinking wouldn’t it be funny if we had feedback scores attached to our lives…kind of like a credit rating, but it wouldn’t deal with money, it would deal with your personality and how you treat people. I think it would really help people who are dating, to really distinguish between the assholes who are fake and the people who are true and have a real heart. It would also be kind of funny…then again it would take a lot of fun out of getting to know someone.

How would your life’s feedback score read?

That would be awesome.  Plus, I think you’re credit score should work the same way.  Something you could easily log into and see what people are posting about you instead of waiting for a report in the mail.  I should be able to leave a feedback score for the companies I do business with.  I think you have a golden idea here!

My feedback score up to about 3 years ago would be great.  (my ebay score is 140, 100% positive!).  But I’ve become bitchy with the onset of motherhood.

What would yours be?

You know, smarmy asshole is a way underused phrase. And I always wondered how to spell smarmy. Thanks.

That could be potentially dangerous though. Because honestly, everyone’s an asshole in someone’s eyes. You don’t want to be labeled that and have everyone see it b/c they’ll just assume that b/c your ex who you broke things off with hates you for it, you’re a huge jerk, even though you think that breaking things off was the best thing to do. I feel I should specify that that was just a for instance because it sounded like I was recapping a bad experience or something. Hell, my exes may hate me but if they do at least I don’t know about it, or have feedback that everyone can see to constantly remind me of that fact. I think it’d make me a more paranoid ahole than I already am frankly… Plus negative feedback can snowball, especially if you can give feedback on anyone you’ve ever known, no matter how briefly. Dammit Chuck, I’m glad you don’t control the universe.

I’m a culo…do you know what culo means in spanish?

Asshole!!! I’m so nice to people…they think I’m fake…

So…feedback would really suck!

My Future Brother In Law Has A Lovely Singing Voice

Back in 2004 when I still lived in Richland and worked from my house, one day my sister Kate and her fiancee John were over. John went into my “office” and was surfing the internet and listening to music on his iPod. Me and Kate overheard John singing along and just having a good time on the net. I quickly grabbeda microphone and my minidisc recorder. Below is the audio we captured that fateful day…(even if you don’t know John, I think you might enjoy listening to this clip…)…you’ll also hear me and Kate snickering in the background…ermm..foreground.

John Reiser Sings the Blues

Be sure to visit John’s MySpace page and tell him how much you enjoyed his singing!

PS – You need to upgrade to Flash 9 to see the video!

I love that you can hear us giggling as quietly as we possibly can at one point. That was back in John’s Muse phase. Good times… I’ve gotta feature this on my page for a bit.

Holy lord. It didn’t play all the way through for me the first time. I only heard the Muse song. Listening on now, I am cracking up like crazy just listening to us muffling all that fucking laughter b/c it was so ridiculously hard. I think I had to turn away a couple of times to keep myself from getting too loud.

At one point it sounds like you are laughing louder so John will hear us and realize we were in the room next door.

Hell no. I only laughed that loud b/c when you need to laugh and you have to do it quietly, sometimes it sneaks out WAY louder than you want it to be. For instance…this past weekend at the Irish Pub in AC, Jess, Cas and I went into the bathroom and smell complete ass upon entrance, and we see someone’s in there. So Jess and I just back out but Cas goes in cause she has to go. A few minutes later a woman comes out and tells Jess and I, “It was like that when I got in there”, which basically translates into “I stunk it up, I’m the guilty one.” This is ridiculously funny to me, but I CAN’T laugh b/c the friggen woman just hangs around afterwards, like she’s waiting for us to start laughing or to tell her we believe her. So of course I’m trying desperately to hold in my laugh while she fucking hangs around for no good reason, but Jess just has to try and talk to me, which makes me BURST out into laughter, which to the woman translates into, “I’m laughing at you because I believe you stunk up the bathroom, now I’M guilty”. So yeah, that’s just how it works with me…

Kurt Cobain Imposters

Seems that people who post videos on YouTube.com like to cover Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box”

Take your pic on which one to watch these are all equally amusing.

This reminds me of a video I once made, but I think mine was a bit more amusing and it was closer to 1993 when Heart Shaped Box originally came out. I really didn’t know how to play guitar back then and clearly, neither does this kid.

In the words of my girlfriend Jackie: “Wow, wow.” (I don’t think this one will embed, so go here to watch it.)

This one is a bit lackluster.

Finally this brings me to the reason I was originally looking for this song on YouTube. The first time I ever saw Nirvana live and heard “Heart Shaped Box”, sometime around September 1993:

i guess for some its fun to try and copy cat the great kurt. its a good way for an up and coming artist to try and attempt to say learn to play guitar…but to ever try and emulate what one man did to change an entire generation is quite impossible and to me every cut is never as good and could never measure up…truly a genius of our time. those are a rare breed.

Kaylee: Nooooo! Charlie, girls don’t fart, cause they don’t poop!!!

Charlie: Yes they dooo!!!

Kaylee: No they don’t!!!! I don’t poop.

Charlie: Yeah you do poop Kaylee. When you were little you had poopy diapers!

Kaylee: Welllll, only baby girls poop. When they get bigger they don’t poop.

Well there you go. Kaylee knows all.
