The picture above was taken around 1992 – 1993. I think I was around 14 or 15. From right to left: My Dad, Tony Darrow, Me and Tony Darrow’s Bitch.
Tony Darrow is the only Soprano I have ever met. He plays the character Larry Boy Barese. We were shooting a TV commercial and in between takes he called me fuck face. It was pretty deyam funny. Tony Darrow has appeared in the following Sopranos episodes:
my parents ran into the entire cast at the borgata one night.. my dad went “aaay!!” like an old italian guy and my mom just reached out to tony soprano’s arm and held it and he turned around and looked at her and touched her hand and smiled…
haha i think it was the best moment of their entire lives! hahahahha
Okay so by now most of you 700 or so subscribers to my blog are probably sick to death of my Sopranos updates on news, videos, and my mourning about the show ending. I can’t help it though, it’s the end of an era for me. I’m not really into watching TV too much and to me the Sopranos is more than a regular TV show and that’s what got me hooked in the first place.
I started watching the 2nd season sometime before the 3rd started and I got hooked and went back and watched them all. Ever since then I countdown the days, the minutes, the hours til when the show comes back on and starts a new season.
I lived in NJ when this show started and I really loved the filmography of this show, how it depicted it’s characters, the dark vibe of the reality that came with it and of course the comedic relief in every episode.
This show has inspired me in a lot of ways. It showed me what television can be. Not the same old sitcom with the same characters every week…major characters can, would and will die on this show. The writing is so unpredictable and that makes this show so unique, so unforgettable.
You can probably tell that I’m looking forward to this shows ending and ever since I got hooked on it I’ve always been looking forward to it. I try to turn anyone I know on to this show. I used to watch it with my brother and it kind of bums me out that he doesn’t even watch it anymore…it was a cool thing we had in common back in NJ when we both still lived at home.
From the time it started to now, I went from living at home, to living on my own to living in a completely new state and place…it’s an era of my life I’ll never forget.
Even though I feel like a lot of memories of the Sopranos to me were looking forward to the show coming back, I’ll never lose the lasting impression that David Chase (the creator and executive producer of the Sopranos) brought into my life.
Yup. And the funny thing is that sometimes when I post a new blog I get retards that send me messages telling me to stop sending my blog to them…they don’t realize that they subscribed to my blog…lol.
If you want a good show, check out Dirt on FX. But try to watch from the start so it actually makes sense. You’ve just gotta get past Courtney Cox’s creepy lips. You’ll love the character Don Conkey though. He’s a schitzo who talks to cats, and those cats talk back. It’s pretty sweet.
Was that Janice being thrown out that window? (please please please!) Lets see…we got a little bit of grouchy paulie, pissed leotardo, Chrisy moving up, carmine moving in, bobby not babysitting junior or wearing his little conductor hat, carmella throwing stuff and Tony getting arrested. YES! I’m gonna start watching them again starting tonight so I’m all fresh for the new season. Thank you Charley for being my Soprano informant.
Awww Thank You *blush*
I can’t wait for you come home!
I just had a great day Hanging out with Sue. I’m glad she came down and hung out with me on my Bday. Made my day.
