Dexter Goes to Naples, FL
One of the last great shows on Television (showtime that is…) visited a city close to where I live last night. That’s right, Dexter visited Naples, FL.
As soon as I heard mention of Naples in the show I was excited, after all I live near Naples, frequent it and sometimes work there. I was even more excited to learn that a part of the show was about to take place in Naples, FL.
Unfortunately, all of the shots they showed of “Naples, FL” took place while driving at night time in a mini-van, the inside of a hotel room & the inside of a bar – which I might add looked NOTHING like a Naples, FL bar.
So for those of you who watch Dexter and have never been to Naples, FL I just wanted to let you know that it wasn’t exactly depicted for the place that it really is. I’m not really defending Naples, I just don’t feel that the way it was shown on the episode of Dexter last night was anything like the real thing. Hell the bar scene was closer to bars i’ve been to in New Jersey rather than Naples, FL.
On the bright side, I hadn’t missed out on stalking a Dexter on location shoot in Naples, FL – cause it never took place.
And if you’ve never seen Dexter, check out the first season on DVD. It meets my number one requirement of a favorite TV show – it must take place in the same state I live in and roughly around 2 hours from where I live *wink wink*
