Cobain

I just finished watching this documentary I ran across on the youtube.com called The Last 48 Hours of Kurt Cobain. Usually I don’t like to go through the memories of what happened back in 1994 and how it effected me, but I started watching this documentary and it brought back a flood of memories and feelings I guess I never got over. It’s worth a watch though. There’s 9 parts on youtube.com and it begins with this one…

Dan Bern – Kurt
Song Lyrics

When Kurt Cobain blew out his brain
All the little girls they cried like rain
And as for me I felt the pain
But I got no T-shirts left to stain
For Kennedy and Jesse James
And Joan of Arc and Kurt Cobain

You can hear them crying down the lane
From Portland to Maryland
From Greece to Spain
And as my life drips like coffee down the drain
My eyes dry up like a rusty chain
So Kennedy and Jesse James
Will have to cry for Kurt Cobain

It’s a hard life and no one’s to blame
When God’s not on the morning train
If Cain don’t kill Abel, Abel kills Cain
And tears now shed are shed in vain
For Kennedy and Jesse James
And Joan of Arc and Kurt Cobain

There’s three new roses growing in the lane
It was a long hard winter but now there’s rain
If you want my tears tell me your name
Give me you hand let me feel your pain
But for Kennedy and Jesse James
There’s Joan af Arc and Kurt Cobain

A Vicious Circle

This blog goes out to everyone who deletes myspace friends and then posts bulletins about it…

From now one anyone who posts bulletins about myspace friends that they have deleted is getting deleted from my friends list.

So those of you who are deleting friends and then are posting bulletins about the friends you are deleting are going to get deleted by me and then I’m going to post new bulletins about my friends who deleted their friends and I’m going to tell my existing friends about the friends that I deleted since they deleted their friends. This thing is going to go beyond confusing and in turn I will have turned myspace into a total clusterfuck.

But in all seriousness, I love you all. Let’s spoon.

What you have theorized here is called the “myspace continuum rift”. Up until now it was only known to a select few members of a TOP SECRET government think tank. Basically it is a giant conspiracy in order to get Jenna Jameson to delete all 1,273,425 of her friends. You totally let the cat out of the bag. A small tear in the myspace continuum could cause millions of teenage kids to GET A LIFE!!!

I think I’m guilty of this. I post a “spring cleaning” bulletin about once a year. Are you talking about a generic bulletin specifying that you have deleted some people or a specific bulletin? ex: “I just deleted Brian because he’s a tool.”

I’m making fun of both…and I’ll admit that I posted one before…in early 2005 ;)

Oh Charlie. Your genius is wasted on me. I get a sad rejected feeling when I see my friends list number has dropped but when I delete people I feel empowered. What’s that about?

Unfortunately the only way anyone writes about me in a bulletin is if they deleted me from their myspace friends list first… Thanks for ruining my 15 minutes, Charles…

nothing irritates me more than those bulletins: “um no one ever leaves me comments, so if you don’t want to get deleted, leave me a picture comment. wah wah wah suck my dick”. and then you don’t leave them comments, and you’re still on their list.. it’s like at least follow through with your little “threat”!

Clusterfuck is my favorite word. 100 kudos to you.

Btw, this blog reminds me of the Friends episode where it was about “they don’t know that we know they know we know” (for what that’s worth)

100 more kudos for the point you’re making. People are stupid. The more I know about people, the more I love my dog…
