We need a Vimeo iPhone app already!

In a perfect world, we'd have a vimeo app on the iPhone already!!!

I’ve had an iPhone for almost two months now and I have to say that it’s one of the coolest gadgets I’ve ever owned. When it comes to the iPhone and it’s apps, it’s got everything…ALMOST.

There is one thing missing. One particular website that I use on almost a daily basis whether I’m looking for inspiration, uploading some video archives or just looking at what friends have uploaded…and that website is vimeo.com . However Vimeo doesn’t offer an iPhone app…and this is killing me. I can watch tons of videos through youtube or twitvid, but I prefer Vimeo above all of the rest.

Not only does Vimeo offer HD quality video, but their interface is very clean and you don’t get hit in the face with all of the “similar” video recommendations like you do when you’re on youtube. Hell I think even the standard definition Vimeo video looks hella better than youtube. Vimeo contains thousands of great videos that are all about original content directly from the people who take the time to make these creations.

Currently I have about 198 videos up on Vimeo and it would be oh so sweet to watch them on my iPhone whenever and wherever I’m at. On the go, it would be great to show a potential client a wedding video I’ve produced, share a home video memory with friends at a Halloween Party or when visiting New Jersey, to just be able to embarrass my brother-in-law on the fly.

Look vimeo, we all understand that creating an iPhone app takes time and money, however you really need to get caught up with the competition! The second I got an iPhone I started taking stupid videos that I wanted to share with twitter, facebook and the world…however I don’t want to upload them to youtube, I want to upload them to Vimeo. For now, I’ll settle on just emailing my video clip (from my iPhone) to my custom Vimeo email address and then waiting for it to become live…but someday (and hopefully SOONER than LATER) I will be ecstatic to find the vimeo icon in the App store…and hell, I would be willing to pay .99 cents for this app…hell I’d pay $4.99 for this app!

C’mon vimeo, what are you waiting for? GIVE US AN IPHONE APP!!!!!!!

True Blood Season 2 Finale

I just finished watching a late night viewing of the True Blood Season 2 finale. Below are my likes and dislikes on the final episode of season 2.

First, my dislikes. I was a bit disappointed with Tara’s character development in this episode. All season she’s been at the center of the Maryanne storyline and tonight in the finale she seemed like a bit player. Along these lines her relationship with Eggs seemed to get lost with their zombie like memories of what happened. It seemed like the storyline was dealing with a bit too many characters and it kind of washed out Tara and Eggs a bit.

This leads me to Sams past. Did we really need to start delving into it to set things up for season 3? I could’ve waited for this to come at another time in order for them to just let Tara and Eggs realize what happened to them and discuss what Maryanne was.

We got the obligatory bullet in the head shot followed by the instant “who shot???” scene. I could’ve done without that but I had a feeling that Eggs was on the writer’s hit list.

And the egg? Oh god the egg. Try rewatching the episode before this knowing really how unimportant the egg was in the finale and you might feel a bit robbed.

Things I enjoyed?

SAMs transformation into the white horse god like creature and the fact that he killed Maryanne and it wasn’t Sookie’s so called “powers”.

Loved seeing Maryanne’s black heart torn out and her body whither away.

The Hoyt and Jessica storyline is interesting. Will Jessica use Hoyt as a way to get out of Bill’s house and feed behind Bill’s back? Will they get back together?

I liked the queen’s scenes with Eric but they could’ve had them in the previous episode. We really didn’t need them here besides to reveal (in the final episode) that the queen is Eric’s V supplier.

The proposal was interesting. The abductal of Bill was our season finale cliff hanger. Was it Eric? Perhaps a werewolf? Why didn’t Bill hear them coming?

Season 3 wishes : Bill vs Eric and werewolves. No maenads and I’ll be a happy camper.

Goodnite fangbangers.
